We offer a variety of used Detroit Diesel Series 60 diesel engines that fit both heavy duty trucks as well as bus and transition applications. The Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines are regarded as the best heavy duty diesel engine ever produced. First produced in 1987, it was the first heavy duty diesel engine to be electronically controlled with an ECM known as their DDEC System (Diesel Diesel Electronic Controls). Series 60 Detroit Diesel engines are known to go 750,000 miles before an overhaul and will simply get the job done. We offer older 11.7 L units when available, 12.7 L engines as well as the larger and later series 14.0 L 60 series engines. All of our used runners are test run and inspected for wear so you know the engine will do right by you.
