Using the plastic measuring cup enclosed in the bag or pail, mix the required amounts of Electrolytes Plus™ powder into warm water. Add powder to water and mix thoroughly until completely dissolved. The enclosed scoop holds approximately 4 ounces of powder. Weigh powder for best results. Mix 4 ounces (113 g) of Electrolytes Plus™ powder into 2 quarts of warm water. Feed 2 quarts of mixed Electrolytes Plus™ solution 1-3 times daily in between normal feeding for 2-3 days. For best results, do not mix Electrolytes Plus™ powder into milk or milk replacer. Feed the mixed Electrolytes Plus™ solution separately, in between normal milk feedings, to provide supplemental fluids and electrolytes. Continue feeding Electrolytes Plus™ solution for 2-3 days, depending on the health challenges and needs of the animal, or as directed by your veterinarian. NOTE – dehydration in baby animals can be very serious. If scours worsen or does not improve, animal may require intravenous fluid therapy, contact your veterinarian immediately. IMPORTANT: Individual animals vary in requirements. Adjust amounts according to the animal’s appetite and need for supplemental electrolytes.
