Description
Cat C15 ACERT Engine from a 2006 Freightliner FLD120. The truck original odometer showed 499K miles, however the ECM was missing, so actual miles are unknown. The flywheel housing has the bolt holes broken out on the left side and the ECM is missing, otherwise there is no other noticeable damage or issues. An ECM was plugged in and the engine was run briefly in the chassis and it ran good with no miss or exhaust smoke. A good-used ECM can be installed for an additional $1,000 and the flywheel housing with new rear main seal can be installed for an additional $850. The engine has not been washed or cleaned, it is as it was removed. The engine appears to have been uprated by Cat from the factory 475HP/1650 to 550HP/1850. The cylinder head also looks like it was replaced at one time, but do not have any history.
The engine is guaranteed to run with no major issues or leaks. It is covered by a 180 day parts only warranty. There will be an additional core charge of $5,000. Outbound shipping is free or it can be picked up to receive a $1,000 discount.
