The Iveco Daily is launched. Originally only handling up to 5 tonnes, the Daily is sold both by Iveco and by Fiat, though it is essentially the same van.

Second generation launched
The second generation of Iveco Daily trucks is launched in the UK. Initially the second generation looked the same as the first, but it did receive a facelift in 1996 – the exterior was broadly similar again, though the engine became available in a 2.8 litre capacity.
Second generation facelifted
Second generation facelifted with minor changes to its exterior.
Third generation launched
Iveco’s third generation of Daily trucks makes its way to the UK market. Third generation Dailys come in wider and lower variations, and become available up to 6.5 tonnes. The Daily also wins “Van of the Year”.
New versions launched
Two new versions were released, the ‘Agile’, with automatic gearshift, and the ‘CNG’, a natural gas version.
Van of the year
Daily wins the Van of the Year.
New 2.3 Litre Common Rail introduced
A new 2.3 litre common rail injection engine becomes available.
Fourth generation launched
The fourth generation of Iveco Daily trucks is released. More configurations are added, with van, cabin cruiser, Minibus, Agile, Combi and CNG variants becoming available in the UK. The smallest engine is now 2.3 litres.
All wheel drive version launched
All wheel drive version of the Daily available for the first time since 2000.
Fifth generation launched
Iveco’s 5th and latest generation of Daily vans becomes available. A slight visual overhaul is not the big news; the fact that the Daily can now handle up to 7 tonnes is what makes the headlines. More engine tweaks are included also.
