For Sale, in Southern NJ, is a hard to find Root & Vandervoort Stationary Engine. This 4 HP Hit ‘n’ Miss Engine Starts and runs very well and has good compression. It is dry underneath with no leaks. The Belt Pulley is 16” as shown in the pictures. Background: We found from our research that this line of engines was marketed by John Deere at some point in their history and this Vintage Collectible was purchased from an estate collection. We believe the cart is original. Also, we believe the manufactured year to be sometime around 1909 or later due to the paint color and are listing it as a 1916. We are guessing on the year but are unsure.
