In 1949, Mitsubishi established the Fuso Motor Sales Company, and then changed its name to Mitsubishi Fuso Motor Sales Company in 1952. The company then went through a series of restructures and brand evolutions before finally hitting on the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in 2003.
