Sprinter T1N launched as the replacement for the Bremer T1. The new Sprinter range was launched by Mercedes-Benz, built by parent company Daimler-Benz.

Horizontal air vents just above the bonnet were widened. The facelift treatment also included new clear lenses for the headlights and a revised appearance for the rear light lenses.

Models were raised 30mm from previous year models to compensate for the move to larger 16 inch rims and tyres.

Separate compressor for rear air conditioning and rear evaporator becomes roof mounted.

T1Ns with an OM647 engine were fitted with turbo resonators that were known to crack at the seam and caused the vehicle to go into Limp-Home mode.
