DAF Delivers Valuable Information To Drivers & Fleet Owners With Its Connect & Fleet Services Portals
Every new DAF vehicle sold in the United Kingdom will now come standard with the DAF Connect fleet management platform, including factory-fitted hardware and “three years of data access via the DAF Connect portal,” according to a recent announcement from DAF.
DAF also announced a new Fleet Services portal at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show, which was held in Marston Green from 30 April through 2 May. Both of these portals give access to several different services from one central location and illustrate DAF’s commitment to offering in-depth vehicle information to both operators and fleet owners alike.
DAF Connect
The DAF Connect portal is a web-based platform with a customisable dashboard where you can view a wealth of information about your vehicle. For example, reports about driver behaviour and fuel consumption to find ways to improve efficiency, get alerts about route deviations and speeding, and see an Eco Score Card for each driver that takes fuel consumption, braking anticipation, and several other factors into account to track operator performance. You can also continuously monitor the health of your vehicle, which can help you determine the best time to bring it in for maintenance or repair to minimise downtime.
Fleet Services
Fleet Services offers numerous invaluable tools for fleet managers, including the Fleet Insights Portal, which makes it easy to create a maintenance plan and stick to it, keep track of repairs, and much more. Link & Chase is another helpful tool that DAF says will “ensure all service inspections and legal requirements are booked and completed within the necessary time periods” to properly maintain O-Licenses.
DAF also offers a Non-contract Single Point Invoicing service where it takes all unexpected maintenance and repair costs and consolidates them into a single monthly invoice. DAF adds that “non-contract work with single point invoicing is offered to all DAF Trucks customers based on a monthly payment and for vehicles under any contract package.”
