Real-Time, Automatic Tachograph Recording & Analysis Feature Added To DAF Connect

DAF Trucks is enhancing its DAF Connect fleet management platform with a new feature called “Remote Tacho Download” that helps operators monitor and maintain accurate tacho administration records. Remote Tacho Download provides comprehensive access to the full range of tacho information available from supported vehicles, displaying information like driving times and rest periods in real time.

    Compliant With Legal Requirements

Available as an app for use in the DAF Connect dashboard, Remote Tacho Download provides automated reading and storage of tacho information to help fleet operators stay compliant with regulations and maintain accurate records for driver cards.

“Maintaining an accurate record of driver cards and the tachograph’s memory is very labour-intensive and prone to error,” says DAF Connect Marketing Manager Jorg Wijnands. “You can end up paying thousands of euros for each instance of inaccurate bookkeeping.”

Additionally, the app delivers analysis of recorded tacho information, which can provide an early warning on infringements and reduce the likelihood of regulatory fines.

    DAF Connect Up Close

DAF Connect is designed to provide a wealth of insight into driver and truck productivity. Transport operators, for instance, can see departure and arrival times, the current location of the vehicle, fuel reports, and other relevant reports, all delivered in real time and available from any internet-connected desktop or laptop PC. In addition to optimising the use of the vehicle, DAF Connect can also help create maintenance schedules and ensure the vehicle is always in the best possible condition.

You will find hundreds of new and used DAF trucks for sale every day on TruckLocator.
