In a recent letter to customers, suppliers, and colleagues, SDC Trailers President Paul Bratton outlined measures the Toomebridge-based company is taking to address the COVID-19 pandemic. SDC Trailers bills itself as Europe’s leading manufacturer of bespoke semi-trailers and is part of the CIMC Group, which serves the container, trailer, and tanker industries.

Enormous Effort

In addition to employee health and safety measures (which include workshop adjustments supporting physical distancing, personal protective equipment, temperature screening, etc.) SDC Trailers’ parts division is offering non-contact collection and delivery services and encouraging digital customer communications.

Patton says that while the company’s production facilities and services remain fully operational, it has “put enormous amounts of time and effort into preparing for various contingencies going forward,” with employee health and security being paramount. Patton says SDC Trailers is “doing our utmost to ‘stop the spread’ while maintaining business continuity so that our customers don’t have to worry about theirs.”
