Linkline Transport Adds SDC Freespan Curtainsiders To Power Growth
Linkline Transport, headquartered in Northamptonshire, recently added two new SDC Freespan Curtainsiders to their fleet to assist in their daily operations across the UK and Europe. The purchase of the trailers followed recent investments in their UK pallet operations which added a new warehouse facility in Wellingborough. The SDC Freespan Curtainsiders were customised in line with the new site according to Linkline’s requirements and provide a clear side aperture for loading and floor space for 26 pallets with EN 12642-XL rating. The trailers have SCD’s 5-star Easy-roll technology and low-maintenance design.
Meeting Demand
“This investment is the first phase of a strategic plan to expand our UK distribution channels,” says Linkline Commercial Director James Bowes. “Our new warehouse in Wellingborough is conveniently located less one mile from our current facility and together with our new Curtainsiders, it will enable us to increase capacity and logistics services to meet the demand from key customers.”
About The SDC Freespan Curtainsider
The Freespan Curtainsider is manufactured with high-tensile steel on a robotically welded chassis and incorporates SDC’s bolt-on body concept to relieve stress on critical parts of the trailer. The trailer has a low-friction alloy roof rail and 5-star Easy-roll technology and is EN-XL-rated. The curtainsider provides unobstructed access for efficient loading and comes with a wide range of load restraint options. The trailer is available as a straight or step frame and can be customised to any length. Multiple options for door, floor, and storage are available as well.
