Stan Robinson Updates Trailer Fleet With The Addition Of 10 New SDC Curtainsiders

Stan Robison’s pallet network includes depots in Stafford, Glasgow, Darlington, and Devon, and the haulier’s growing fleet features nearly 200 curtainsider trailers. In the interest of renewing its fleet, Stan Robinson recently ordered 10 new SDC Curtainsider trailers, four of which feature tri-axle, double-deck construction and are designed for hub operations. The SDC tri-axle trailers also boast a second deck with centre posts to optimise efficiency on the haulier’s high-volume routes.

“The new tri-axle curtainsider trailers have been designed and engineered with meticulous detail, and to an extremely high-quality specification with the latest operational and safety features,” says SDC Sales Manager Paul Evans.

Express Delivery

The Stafford-based haulier says it will use the new trailers for its express and overnight services. The EN 12642-XL-certified trailers were configured with many of SDC’s highest-end features, including Knorr-Bremse EBS braking, ISO regulation electronics, an easy-access coupling box, and a full-rear enclosure. To save on fuel, Stan Robinson selected the BPW Eco-Plus axles and SDC’s fuel-saving aerodynamic roof profile. Stan Robinson’s order includes both straight and double-deck SDC Curtainsiders.
