Future Industrial Services Ltd, which serves customers all throughout the United Kingdom, recently added 18 new Volvo FH tractor units to its fleet of 177 vehicles. The Volvo FHs in question all have 500-horsepower Volvo D13K Euro 6 engines and 12-speed I-Shift automated manual transmissions. Other features include front steel, rear air suspensions with lead-up ramps and sliding fifth wheels as well as Long Haul Fuel and Economy software packages. All of the FH models were supplied by Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd and are covered by four-year Volvo Service Contracts.

    In-Cab Comforts

Each of the new Volvo FH models features a Globetrotter cab planted on a 4,100-millimetre, 6x2 pusher axle chassis. Future Industrial Services opted for the One Bed Sleeping package, full leather interior, extra storage cupboards, and microwaves. The cabs also feature Volvo’s Audio Media Package, which includes a seven-inch touchscreen display and a DAB radio with Bluetooth and MP3 capabilities.

    Proven Machines

Future Industrial Services made its most recent order based largely on the performance of its 64-plate FH models, which the company bought outright when their four-year leases were up. “We trialled a few different truck makes and took driver feedback into account, before placing the recent Volvo FH order,” says David Lusher, CEO of Future Industrial Services. “Our business has grown through acquisition and we’ve used products from a few different truck manufacturers to boost our fleet numbers. However, Volvo trucks predominate our newer purchases. We’re very satisfied with the dealer network support levels and the vehicles have proved reliable in service, with minimal downtime noted.”

You’ll find hundreds of used Volvo trucks for sale every day on TruckLocator, including a large selection of nearly new Volvo FH and FH-500 models.
