DAF Trucks is bringing an extensive lineup of LF, CF, and XF models to the Commercial Vehicle Show (CV Show) 2019, which runs from 30 April to 2 May at the national Exhibition Center (NEC) in Marston Green, Birmingham. The event, which averages just under 21,000 attendees each year, will serve as an opportunity for DAF to talk about its customer support and driver training services as well. DAF also has a second stand, which will feature vocational trucks and First Choice quality-approved used trucks. The company bills this as its “largest ever presence” at the show.

“We’re delighted to be exhibiting at the CV Show again this year in line with our intention to attend the show on a two-yearly cycle,” says Robin Easton, managing director at DAF. “The CV Show always provides us with a great opportunity to network with customers, both existing and new, plus a chance to exhibit our new LF, CF and XF product range – which, of course, we unveiled at the NEC in 2017.”

    The Trucks

DAF’s truck display aims to show off the diversity of the lineup with an emphasis vocational vehicles. Examples include a CF 8x4 tipper truck, CF 450 FT 6x2 tractor unit designed for the petro-chemical industry, a 7.5-tonne LF City with a PACCAR box van body, and a CF 370 FAN 6x2 rigid truck that features electro-hydraulic rear-steer technology. There will also be a special edition Showtrekker truck with trailer that features a “striking air-brushed livery to celebrate the company’s history,” DAF says.

    The Services

Alongside the DAF CF, DAF LF, and DAF XF models, the manufacturer will highlight its suite of support solutions, which includes services like DAF Connect and DAF Fleet Services. DAF Connect offers a range of fleet management features, like real-time driver performance monitoring and GPS tracking. DAF Fleet Services is a maintenance package focused on improving uptime. DAF will also market a recent promotion where buyers of new CF and XF trucks get access to a professional driver training program, which consists of a 2.5-hour session designed to help new owners get to know their vehicles inside and out.

If you’re in the market for any of the vehicles on display at the CV Show or other similar models, you’ll find a large selection of used DAF trucks for sale on this site.
