Renault Trucks recently announced a series of updates and new features coming to its D and D Wide ranges in 2020, including redesigned interiors and more connectivity features. The company has also improved safety on its 2020 models, all of which come with adaptive cruise control as standard. There are now options for LED rear lights as well, along with a Protect Pack that also includes a vision door, reverse alarm, and hill start aid for better performance on inclines.

The trucks also come with Euro 6 Step D diesel engines that can also run on biodiesel or XTL synthetic fuel. There is a CNG (compressed natural gas) version of the D Wide and fully electric versions of both models with the D and D Wide Z.E.

    Interior Design

The new interior of the D and D Wide models emphasizes ergonomics and driver comfort, with a new steering wheel, instrument cluster, and dashboard. It also features a tablet holder, a radio that Renault says is “compatible with the DAB+ digital terrestrial radio network,” and USB-C ports. There is also an option to add a second smartphone holder either alone or as part of the optional Comfort Pack, which also features a leather steering wheel upgrade, side support for the driver’s seat, and extra storage space.

    Connectivity & Efficiency

All of Renault’s D-series trucks now come standard with TGW 4G connectivity, allowing them to take full advantage of the company’s Optifleet fleet management platform, which features geolocation via the Optifleet Map and fuel consumption monitoring via Optifleet Check. The platform also allows fleet managers to track driver behaviour, monitor vehicle performance, and much more.

Renault also offers an optional Fuel Eco Pack designed to improve fuel efficiency and performance, which includes automatic engine stop if the truck idles for three minutes and adjustable roof deflector for all models; Fuel Eco software and an Optiroll function for downhill driving on D Wide models; and a clutchable air compressor for models with DTI 11 engines.

You will find hundreds of new and used Renault trucks for sale every day on TruckLocator, including a selection of Range D models.
