FreshLinc Group has four divisions that serve the UK and Europe’s supply chain needs for temperature-controlled, fresh, chilled, and horticultural products. The logistics firm recently ordered Renault Trucks Range T tractor units that are expected to cover 180,000 kilometres annually for FreshLinc Group’s temperature-controlled division, and will run seven days a week.

    Why The Range T?

FreshLinc Group purchased their first Renault Range T trucks in 2016, and the positive experience made for an easy choice this time around. “Continually good fuel consumption figures, coupled to a high degree of driver acceptance and a good support network lead us to continue placing orders with the brand,” says FreshLinc’s Fleet Engineer, Andy Marchant. Drivers in particular like the Renault Range T Highs because the cab offers plenty of space and comfort.

    More Details

Designed for long-haul duties, Renault’s 2020 Range T-series trucks are fitted with either a DTI 11 or DTI 13 Euro 6 Step D engine offering a 3% reduction in fuel consumption and C02 emissions over the previous generation. The Range T’s DTI 11 engine produces 380, 430, or 460 horsepower (283, 320, or 343 kilowatts), while the DT13 engine produces 440, 480, or 520 hp (328, 358, or 388 kw).

Some Renault Range T trucks, including FreshLinc’s 20 new Renault Range T tractors, feature the company’s Optidriver 12-speed automated gearboxes that selects the right gear at the right time suited to speed and driving style to guarantee you better mobility and greater comfort while driving. Lighter-weight disc brakes and a high-efficiency axle also improve overall efficiency across the range. To better support drivers, the sleeper cab is equipped with rear cab overhead compartments that offer 221 litres of storage capacity, with three illuminated 36-centimetre-high lockers with sliding curtain closures.

    Order Details

Of the 20 new Renault Range T tractors, 18 are T460 6x2s powered by Renault Trucks’ efficient 11-litre DTI engine, while the remaining two are T480 High 6x2s powered by the 13-litre DTI engine.
