All-makes truck and trailer parts supplier TRP will highlight online resources at the virtual Commercial Motor Show exhibition and conference. DAF will also be attendance to support TRP and talk about its own DAF Genuine Parts. (Photo courtesy of DAF.)

TRP, a supplier of truck and trailer parts for all makes, will take part in The Commercial Motor Show, a virtual exhibition and conference that takes place from 29 September through 1 October 2020. TRP supporter DAF Trucks will also attend the online event to talk about its DAF Genuine Parts.

One highlight will be the DAF Webshop, where customers can access a TRP eCatalogue to see every part in the system. Those who sign up with a password can also search for parts by chassis or part number. Customers can then work with one of 134 DAF dealers or 19 TRP stores across the UK and Ireland to find those parts in stock or request delivery. This is an important tool given that TRP now offers 85,000 parts lines. TRP’s national fleet programme also helps in this regard, working to ensure that parts are not only in stock across all of those locations, but that fleet managers have a proper parts management plan in place for the future.

    Preparing For HGV Safety Permits

TRP will also take this opportunity to discuss the upcoming heavy goods vehicle (HGV) permit scheme that will go into effect in March 2021 in London and cover any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 12 tonnes. One aspect of that scheme is the Direct Vision Standard, which is an indicator of an operator’s level of visibility through the truck’s windows. To help, TRP created a video that discusses both topics and offers a guideline for what retrofit parts could help the truck remain in compliance, including cameras, sensors, and more.

    Operator Engagement

“Our TRP Parts operation showed an incredibly dedicated response during the coronavirus outbreak,” says TRP Marketing Manager David Howe. “Despite lockdown, all 134 DAF Dealer locations remained operational, and that meant TRP parts were always available to front-line operators who performed such a critical role for the UK’s essential services. As we emerge from lockdown restrictions, we are thrilled at the opportunity to be able to engage with those same operators at the Commercial Motor Show. and to talk to some new operators who I know will be impressed by the strength-in-depth of our TRP all-makes offering.”

You will find more than a thousand new and used DAF trucks for sale on Truck Locator, including a large selection of CFs, LFs, and XFs.
