Dutch truck manufacturer DAF Trucks recently introduced its line of electric vehicle chargers in support of its LF Electric and CF Electric trucks, as well as other commercial vehicles. The fixed charging stations offer power levels from 20 up to 360 kilowatts, while the mobile chargers have levels from 24 to 40 kW. If needed, DAF and its partners will conduct site assessment, energy modeling, and engineering on the customers’ premises, and will maintain the equipment. The PACCAR chargers can be purchased at DAF dealerships and TRP store locations. The charging stations are backed by a two-year warranty.
About The Chargers
The 20- to 50-kW options can charge an individual truck in the evening or overnight for daily operations. The 120- and 180-kW PACCAR chargers are designed for fast charging and are ideal for fleets with trucks on multiple routes or shifts. The 180-kW unit can charge most trucks in less than three hours.
The 350-kW PACCAR charger, the most powerful in the line, is an ultra-fast solution that can charge vehicles at full rated power in less than two hours or fast charge two vehicles at once. The mobile chargers are a perfect solution for roadside assistance or workshops where more flexibility is needed.
“The application of fully electric trucks requires a specific way of planning and operations,” says DAF Trucks Director Marketing & Sales Richard Zink. “DAF makes this conversion as easy as possible for its customers. We always advise about how an electric truck delivers the highest return on investment in the daily operation. And as from today, we also offer our customers premium-quality charging equipment so that they are assured of the most optimal integration between the truck and charging station.”
