Fuso's  Bauma stand (B439 in hall B4) features a Next Generation eCanter equipped for the first time with a roll-off tipper, and in Bauma’s outdoor area, visitors can see a Fuso Canter with a three-way tipper and crane.

“With our Next Generation eCanter, we are underlining that the advantages of the Fuso Canter for the construction industry are also fully reflected in the electrified variant,” says Philipp Panter, head of sales, marketing and customer service at Fuso Europe. “Thanks to their robustness and variability, the Next Generation eCanter and the new Fuso Canter are ideally suited for the construction industry. Together with our body partners, we can realise a wide variety of applications in both vehicles.”

    Next Generation eCanter

The Next Generation eCanter has a permissible gross vehicle weight (GVW) between 4.25 and 8.55 tonnes (4.7 and 9.4 U.S. tons) and comes with two cab options: the 1,695-millimetre (66.7-inch)-wide Standard, and the 1,995-mm (78.5-in.)-wide Comfort cab. The eCanter featured at Bauma is an 8.55-t variant with a chassis load capacity of 5,135 kilograms (11,320 pounds) and a mechanical power take-off. The eCanter’s electric motor produces 110 kilowatts (150 horsepower) in 4.25- to 6-t variants and 129 kW (180 HP) in 7.49- to 8.55-t variants. Both motors produce 430 newton-metres (317 pounds-foot) of torque.

Available in five gross weights and six wheelbase lengths, the Fuso Canter can meet the requirements of almost any application and transport task, from simple flatbed work to specialised applications involving a loading crane, cherry picker, or concrete pump. Battery Pack Options

Prior to the release of the Next Generation model, the eCanter had only an 81 kilowatt-hour battery and a range of 100 kilometres (62 miles). The upgraded eCanter is available in one of three battery packs: S, M, and L, depending on the wheelbase. Nominal capacities and ranges for the new battery packs are 41 kWh and 70 km (43 mi) for the S variant, 83 kWh and 140 km (87 mi) on the M variant, and 124 kWh and 200 km (124 mi) for the L package. The eCanter at Bauma features a 3,400 mm (134 in.) wheelbase and is equipped with the M battery pack. There are six wheelbase options for the eCanter series ranging from 2,500 to 4,750 mm (98.4 to 187 in.).
