Harrison Solway, an East Yorkshire logistics firm, has more than 20 years of experience in haulage and distributions services from individual pallet consignments to full trailer loads. The company, which specialises in the transport of food, grocery, and general products throughout the UK, has a large fleet to support its 10,000-pallet warehousing operation. With a land purchase to double its warehouse capacity underway, Harrison Solway recently built up its fleet with six new SDC Curtainsider trailers.

    Curtainsider Trailers Up Close

The 4.4-metre (14.4-foot) tri-axle trailers are built to EN 12642-XL quality standard and equipped with the Haldex braking and roll stability system, ISO Regulation and LED lighting, a GRP toolbox, protection buffers, a sliding coupling box, and Jost landing legs. The custom curtains feature liveries for the various brands Harrison Solway hauls.

SDC Curtainsider trailers are constructed with high-tensile steel and a bolt-on body for minimal weight and easy maintenance. The trailers come in both straight and step-frame designs with variations such as fork-truck rear end, tail lift, steer axles, multiple door options, and aerodynamic aids available. The Curtainsiders are certified to carry 29 tonnes (32 U.S. tons) of payload, are available with a variety of load restraint options, and have ISO-compliant floors.

    “Extremely Pleased”

“At Harrison Solway Logistics we pride ourselves on our efficient, prompt, and professional logistics services and expanding our modern trailer fleet will allow us to build on our unparalleled level of customer service,” says Lee Solway, director of Harrison Solway Logistics. “SDC deliver an extremely robust build and high-quality finish which is evident across our existing SDC trailer fleet; our clients are extremely pleased with the equipment and the efficient service and product backup offered by SDC. The bespoke liveries offer a professional finish, and we are pleased to support our long-standing clients in this way, further strengthening our partnerships with fantastic brands.”
