Krone Trailer UK Delivers 51 Box Liner FS10 Skeletal Trailers To KBC Logistics

Krone Trailer UK has delivered 51 of its Box Liner FS10 skeletal container carrier trailers to KBC Logistics. Founded in 2008, KBC Logistics is a container logistics specialist that hauls ambient and chilled containerised products from ports to regional distribution centres. Combined with additional trailers currently on order, the delivery expands KBC Logistics’ fleet of Krone trailers to 160 units. KBC Logistics’ company fleet of more than 300 vehicles are spread across depots in Essex, Lincolnshire, Southampton, and London Gateway. The firm’s headquarters are located in London.

Repeat Business

KBC Logistics Director and Transport and Compliance Manager David Ashford says his firm ordered the FS10s to support recent, rapid expansion and to future-proof the company’s fleet. Krone Trailer UK’s service has been excellent, he says, and KBC Logistics’ workshop team has found the FS10s to be robust and of high build quality.

“We have rapidly grown our business with KBC Logistics to the point that they now have a significant number of Krone Box Liners in their fleet,” says Allan McKee, Krone Trailer UK area sales manager. “Repeat business like this underlines the confidence our customers have in the reliability and quality of the Krone skeletal trailers.”

The FS10

FS10 skeletal trailers have a flat chassis configuration with a sliding bogie for carrying 20-, 30-, and 45-foot containers. Box Liner models in general are designed for durability and versatility. They’re available in universal, specialist with tunnel, flat, and 20-ft-only configurations. They come with a 10-year guarantee against corrosion damage.

Krone offers the trailers with a number of standard features, including fold-out and retractable container locks, wheel chocks, push-button pneumatic rear extension, and a pre-selected wheel gauge with different colour-coded container positions. They also come with a number of features designed to extend their service life and protect their contents, including extendable underrun protection, rear steel ram buffers, side-collision protection, and protected taillights.
