Wiltshire-based professional transport training and driver development provider WTTL recently expanded its fleet with the addition of six new Urban Box trailers from Krone Trailer UK, bringing the company’s total number of Krone trailers to seven. WTTL has six articulated vehicles and a team of 13 full-time trainers operating out of depots in Bristol and Devizes to provide vehicle, classroom, and MHE courses for commercial drivers, transport managers, and fleet owners.

“This new delivery marks the continuation of our ongoing fleet expansion,” says WTTL Operations Manager Jordan Rees. “We need high-specification trailers that showcase exactly what professionals can expect to be working with in a typical transport operation, and in this regard, the trailers tick all the boxes. Plus, the attention to detail and quality finish is truly exceptional.”

    Krone Urban Box Trailer Specs

The tandem-axle Urban Box trailers are 11,000 millimetres (433 inches) long and 2,715 mm (107 in.) high. They have pull-out rear ladders and ECE R141-compliant Krone Smart Tyre Monitoring for real-time tyre pressure and temperature data. The flooring is 30-mm (1.2-in.) phenolic-coated plywood and can handle forklift axle loads up to 7,000 kilograms (15,400 pounds). The container-style rear doors have replaceable door seals and flush-mounted locks with 1-hand operation.

The trailers are also equipped with Krone Smart Collect Telematics, which provides real-time data, including location tracking, brake error messages, operating data analytics, door control, coupling status updates, and WLAN connectivity.

“The decision to partner with Krone was straightforward,” adds Rees. “Their commitment to quality aligns perfectly with our own values, and these trailers help us deliver the highest possible training standards. With this latest delivery, WTTL continues to prioritise quality, innovation, and customer-focused service within its training and transport operations.”
