DAF Displayed CF FAW 8x4 & Other Construction Trucks At This Year’s MATEXPO In Belgium
DAF Trucks highlighted its new CF FAW 8x4 and other construction trucks at this year’s MATEXPO, which took place 11 to 15 September in Kortrijk, Belgium. The company had a 300-square-metre stand located in Hall 5. Along with the CF FAW model, DAF also had a 19-tonne LF Construction truck and XF Super Space Cab truck on display at the show. According to DAF, the CF is designed for “a variety of applications,” the LF Construction is designed “for local and regional distribution,” and the XF is designed “for heavy haulage.”
While the model on display with the FAW chassis was a CF model, DAF says the chassis is also available as an XF rigid. It has a “tridem with a double-drive tandem for excellent steering traction,” explains DAF, as well as a steered trailing axle with a turning circle of 15.6 metres. The company also adds that the FAW chassis is well-suited for use as a tipper truck, concrete mixer, or hook lift truck.

“With a market share of 20%, DAF is the obvious number one in the European tractor segment,” says Richard Zink, director, marketing and sales, and member of the DAF Trucks board of management. “We have the best offer in the construction segment as well, as DAF has a fantastic range of vehicles to suit every demand. The new FAW marks our ambition to grow further in this construction segment.”
DAF Services Also On Display
DAF used MATEXPO as an opportunity to talk about its construction-related services, including its MultiSupport repair and maintenance contracts, which offer “advanced Uptime packages with guaranteed uptime,” the company adds. It also highlighted the DAF Academy, a program that offers training specifically for drivers in the construction industry.
