Brandon Hire Station Expands Fleet, Adds Four 7.5-Tonne Isuzu Rigid Tankers

    With over 1,500 items available to hire, Brandon Hire Station asks a lot of it its delivery and collection vehicles. Attributes like reliability, class-leading payload, and versatility are critical, which is a big reason why Brandon Hire Station has an ongoing relationship with Isuzu Truck UK. The newest Brandon Hire Station fleet additions include four N75.190 rigid trucks—three of which have been customized for slurry and sewage collection, while the fourth truck is in service transporting large equipment throughout Wales and the South West.


    Fleet Upgrades

    “We have an ongoing investment programme within our fleet and these four new Isuzus, resplendent in their new distinctive livery, give us the functionality and reliability we require from our delivery and collection vehicles,” says Brandon Hire Station Dot Com Director Mark Moody. “We have operated Isuzu trucks in the fleet for many years and we have found them to be extremely robust and give us excellent long-term reliable service.” All of the new Isuzu N75.190 rigid trucks feature Easyshift automatic transmissions, as well as a specialty commission blue and silver design to reflect the new Brandon Hire Station branding.


    The N75.190

    Isuzu’s N75.190 is a 4x2 rigid chassis supports a maximum trailer weight of 3,500 kilograms (7,716 pounds) and is powered by a 4HK1E6C-D Isuzu turbo intercooled OHC four-cylinder diesel engine compliant with Euro VI standards. Isuzu can be specified to meet customer needs. Brandon Hire Service, for example, added a Buckingham 750-gallon (2,840-litre), twin compartment, non-hazardous tanker body to its toilet service tankers, while the hauling truck features a beavertail body. Isuzu rates the truck’s engine capacity at 140 kilowatts (5,193 cc, or 190 metric horsepower) when operating at 2,600 rpm. Overall length of the N75.190 can be built to 6,040 millimetres (19.8 feet), 6,690 mm (21.9 ft), or 7,870 mm (25.8 ft).
