Felixstowe Supply Chain Services Provider VKVP Haulage Adds 33 Renault Range T Trucks To Fleet

After updating its fleet last year with six used Renault trucks, VKVP Haulage, a Felixstowe-based supply chain services provider that operates throughout the UK and Europe, recently added 33 additional Renault trucks. The 11-litre Renault Range T T460 6x2s join a VKVP fleet of 40 trucks, and will be used for container hauling out of Felixstowe, London Gateway, and Southampton docks.

Peace Of Mind

VKVP’s Range Ts are part of a major fleet-replacement effort the company has executed this year that also included adding five replacement Mercedes-Benz Actros in January. Vladislav Pantelej, VKVP managing director, is looking to add additional Range Ts in the coming year.

The Range T lineup overall includes tractor and rigid options with day cab, short cab, and standard roof night and day cab/sleeper cab choices in 4x2, 6x2 Mid Lift, and 6x2 Tag profiles. Designed for long-distance applications, the range’s models use Euro 6 Renault DTI 11 or DTI 13 engines from 380 to 520 horsepower and have 40- to 60-tonne gross vehicle weight ratings.

VKVP’s Range Ts use Renault’s Optidriver gearbox AT2412E featuring 12 forward and three reverse gears. “The gearbox is an outstanding highlight with quick and smooth gear selection, and the clutch is controlled automatically, dispensing with the need for a pedal,” says Pantelej. “All of this makes the trucks very user-friendly and comfortable, and why our drivers have given them their seal of approval.”
