DAF Holds Virtual Truck Show On Social Media With 700 Entrants & 55,000 Viewers
DAF Trucks held a virtual truck show over the weekend where it named winners in three categories, all of whom will receive DAF Driver magazine trophies and professional photos that will appear in the magazine. Although it was originally intended to be a live show before the COVID-19 pandemic, the event received 700 entrants and 55,000 people followed along across DAF’s social channels.
And The Winners Are . . .
The winners across the three categories were Fred Forman of P&L Forman for Best Working DAF Truck, Stephen Rimmer of Hurst Bros. Ltd for Best Show DAF Truck, and Brian Callery, whose DAF 3300 ATi was named Best Classic DAF or Leyland Truck. The winners will receive a special recognition at this year’s Truckfest Peterborough, which is now scheduled to take place on 30 and 31 August. DAF also handed out 20 Truckfest tickets to runners-up.
