Five New Isuzu Trucks Help Nectar Imports To Deliver Strong & Soft Drinks

A decade of daily usage has proven the reliability of Isuzu’s rigid trucks to Nectar Imports, which recently purchased five more. (Photo courtesy of Isuzu.)

Nectar Imports, a distributor of craft beer, premium spirits, wines, and soft drinks, recently added five new Isuzu rigid trucks to its 25-vehicle fleet. The new additions include four Isuzu 7.5-tonne rigids and one new 11-tonne rigid, all specified with curtainside bodies and supplied by local Isuzu dealer Ferndown Commercials. Nectar Imports’ fleet now operates 18 Isuzu trucks in total, with each vehicle expected to cover up to 80,000 kilometres (49,709 miles) per annum over a seven-year working life.

    Top-Notch Customer Experience With Ferndown

After over a decade of service from Isuzu Trucks, Nectar Imports has built a long-term relationship with its local Isuzu dealer Ferndown Commercials. And beyond the Isuzu trucks’ reliability and payload, Nectar Imports appreciates Ferndown’s excellent service, especially during the current pandemic. “The Ferndown team have been fantastic, ensuring they were able to maintain our fleet and communicate any changes to schedules to enable a smooth working partnership,” Nectar Imports Transport Manager Matthew Lapham says. “This means that Nectar as a company is in a strong position to return to normal trading as soon as we get the green light.”

Models In The Nectar Imports Fleet

Of the 18 Isuzu trucks in the fleet, 16 are 7.5-tonne N75.190E rigids, and although Nectar Imports chose the curtainside body, Isuzu also offers N75.190E in box column, chassis cab, crew cab, dropside, and tipper truck configurations. The N75.190E features a gross vehicle weight of 7,500 kilograms (16,535 pounds), a maximum trailer weight of 3,500 kilograms (7,716 pounds), and an electro-hydraulic controlled six-speed synchromesh MZZ6F Easyshift transmission. “Our drivers find the trucks to be extremely user-friendly, especially when doing city centre deliveries where the Easyshift gearbox comes into its own,” notes Lapham.

Nectar Imports’ two 11-tonne Isuzu trucks are F110.210 models. The newest truck, an F110.210E, is powered by the 4HK1E6S Isuzu turbo intercooled OHC four-cylinder diesel with DPD (Diesel Particulate Diffuser) and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology and complies with Euro VI standards. The 4x2 rigid chassis features twin rear wheels and payload allowance of up to 7,454 kg (16,433 pounds).

You will find a large selection of new and used Isuzu trucks for sale on Truck Locator, including N75, D-Max, and NQR models.
