Mercedes-Benz & FUSO Dealer City West Commercials Announces New Dealer Principal
City West Commercials, a Mercedes-Benz and FUSO dealer group with locations in Avonmouth, Roche, Woodbury Salterton, and Highbridge, recently promoted industry veteran Darren Sweet to dealer principal after serving as the organization’s group aftersales director for three years. Sweet has been in the industry for 30 years and worked at two other Mercedes-Benz dealerships in that time.
“Baptism Of Fire”
Sweet’s transition into his new role hasn’t come without its challenges. His goal is to expand City West Commercials’ local customer base without losing momentum on a national scale. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he has had to mostly focus on keeping dealerships open to continue serving front-line customers.
“It was certainly something of a baptism of fire. The team have been fantastic in supporting our business, and this has allowed us to keep all departments, including Truck Sales, operational throughout the crisis,” says Sweet. “We have big plans to grow this business, and the consistent delivery of great customer service will be key to the achievement of our goals. Fortunately, the solid foundations from which we can build are already in place. I’ve inherited a first-class team of colleagues, while our branch infrastructure is among the best in the Mercedes-Benz Trucks network.”
