Aston Workshop, a leading sales and service provider for classic and modern Aston Martins, offers door-to-door delivery service for its customers. Whether performing regular maintenance, restoration, or upgrading a vehicle, Aston Workshop offers customers the convenience of collecting and delivering the luxury vehicles nationwide. Aston Workshop’s newest vehicle transport is a Mercedes-Benz Atego with a fully enclosed twin-deck transporter body boasting three-fold loading ramps, which provide a low loading angle ideal for Aston Martin sport and racing cars with minimal ground clearance.

“Our old transporter had a single deck and could only move one car at a time,” says Workshop Manager Neil Calvert. “The fact that the new truck can carry two cars gives us much more flexibility and will help us to meet the demands of our growing business.”

    Better Vehicle Protection

Aston Martin customers have come to expect the highest standards of service from Aston Workshop, expectations that certainly extend to the transport of their vehicles. Aston Workshop’s new Atego 1224 features a Moetefindt body with full weather protection and a lockable rigid box for improved security.

“The Moetefindt bodywork is purpose-designed for sports and racing cars,” says Calvert. “It is built to an extremely high standard and complements our very smart-looking Atego perfectly. The Mercedes-Benz Atego enjoys an excellent reputation as a vehicle that can be trusted to provide years of reliable service, so we’re looking forward to a long and hassle-free operating life from our new transporter.”

A Step Up In Comfort & Power

Aston Workshop configured the 12-tonne (13.2-U.S.-ton) Atego with a BigSpace sleeper cab, which is the largest option in the Atego range. “The cab has a quality feel and is a big step up in terms of comfort,” says Calvert. “It’s a lot more spacious than our previous truck, and is also better equipped and put together. Naturally, therefore, the driver is delighted with it.”

    The truck is powered by a 7.7-litre, 175-kilowatt (238-horsepower) engine and a six-speed Mercedes-Benz PowerShift 3 transmission.
