After two years of pandemic-induced fits and starts, businesses are champing at the bit to return to a sense of normalcy and few things signal that return like meeting with customers and other industry professionals at trade shows. SDC Trailers, a leading manufacturer of semi-trailers in the UK and Ireland, is particularly eager for the upcoming Commercial Vehicle Show starting on 24 May. The Commercial Vehicle Show is the UK’s largest road transport exhibition. The three-day 2022 show will be held in Birmingham and will feature hundreds of exhibitors showcasing trailers, vans, forklifts, tyres, telematics products, and more.

    SDC’s Exhibit

SDC will show off its Freespan Curtainsider in the vehicle display area, and will showcase the benefits of the trailer’s many features on its stand in Hall 5 (stand 5D85), as well. The trailer manufacturer’s Truck & Trailer Parts division will also feature prominently in the stand.

“The Commercial Vehicle show provides a premium opportunity for us to showcase our comprehensive semi-trailer range and services,” says SDC Group President Paul Bratton. “Given the fluidity of the market and many challenges that hauliers are currently facing, the CV show will provide us with the opportunity to meet customers and decision-makers during these difficult times. The Freespan trailer theme allows us to focus on the key design features which add to the durability, functionality, and reliability of this model.”

    About The Freespan Curtainsider

The EN-XL-rated Freespan Curtainsider is manufactured with high-tensile steel and built on a robot-welded chassis. Available as a straight or step-frame, the trailer has a fully clear side aperture and SDC’s Easy-Roll technology. SDC can customise the trailer to any length, and lets buyers choose their combination of door, floor, storage options, and any aerodynamic aids.

    Parts Division

SDC’s aftermarket parts division will showcase their catalogue of over 16,000 parts, including axles, suspensions, air brakes, landing legs, electrical components, and more. The parts division provides same-day or next-day delivery throughout the UK and Ireland to keep customer downtime low.

“SDC Truck & Trailer Parts has 10 customer depots and is growing with dedicated warehouse facilities and systems, holding thousands of parts for prompt delivery to customers across the UK and Ireland,” says Parts Director Gavin Diamond. “Our purchasing power within the SDC Group allows us to provide highly competitive prices to our customers, with high rising costs SDC Parts can provide savings to your fleet and I would encourage Parts users attending the CV show to come along and speak to our team to see how they can save on the leading parts brands.”
