Pet food provider Simpsons Premium Ltd recently added three new Montracon postless curtainside semi-trailers to its fleet with more to come in the future. Simpsons Premium produces a range of wet and dry food for dogs and cats to meet a wide variety of dietary needs. The new trailers are all either 4 or 4.2 metres (13 or 13.7 feet) in height and will be used in operations through the UK and Europe.

Simpsons Premium’s trailers are postless curtainsiders fitted with the full LED light package, a rear-mounted dump plate, a toolbox, and spare wheel carrier. The ENXL-rated trailers have 29-millimetre (1.14-inch) hard wood flooring, a soft docking system, a lift axle, and TRI Cord load restraints.

“We have had three curtainside trailers from Montracon in the last two years and all the trailers are manufactured to a very high standard, digital print and livery,” says Simpsons Premium owner Craig Simpson. “These trailers were all delivered on time and within budget. About The Montracon Postless Curtainsider

The postless curtainsider has a tapered cant rail, no pelmet intrusion, and a uniform side aperture for easy loading and unloading. The trailer’s low-maintenance, bolt-on bodies have galvanised front and rear frames, phenolic-coated plywood floors, and heavy-duty buckles on the curtains. The curtainsider is available as a straight-frame single deck or a high-volume step frame double-decker. It has a canted roof line and side skirts. Buyers can choose either tandem or triaxle bogies and additionally opt for an EN12642XL-compliant version. The trailers offer several restraint options, including straps, nets, kites, and retractable strapping systems.
