Local Builders Merchants Champion Isuzu Grafter N35.125
For the past three years, Radstock, Somerset-based builders merchants, AJ Champion, have used an 18-plate Isuzu Grafter for deliveries. When it came time to replace the truck, it was an easy decision. The company chose another Grafter, adding an 11-tonne (12-U.S.-ton) Isuzu tipper to Champion’s 25-vehicle commercial delivery fleet.
About The Grafter
The new Grafter N35.125 (T) swb rigid has a 1.9-litre engine, a six-speed transmission, and a Brit Tipp dropside tipper body with an aluminium floor and tailgate. Steve Champion says the new truck will spend the next three years delivering between eight and 10 loads per day to customers in a 25-mile radius of AJ Champion’s Somerset headquarters. The truck will haul loose materials, small bags of cement and aggregate, bricks, and blocks.
"A Significant Improvement"
“Our first Grafter has really earnt its money since we bought it so when we were looking for a replacement 3.5-t truck, we decided, once again, to go for one of the latest Euro VI Grafters,” says Champion. “The vehicle itself is actually a significant improvement on the incumbent 18-plate truck, with a much better suspension and ride quality. The drivers love it. Together with the robustly specified Brit Tipp body, the new Grafter will certainly be a solid practical workhorse for the three years that it is in our fleet.”
