MAN Wins Red Dot Design Award For TGE & TGX Individual Lion S
MAN Truck & Bus recently took home the 2022 Red Dot Design award in the Commercial Vehicles category for the Individual Lion S models of its TGX heavy-duty, long-haul truck and TGE light-duty distribution van at the official award ceremony on 20 June in Essen, Germany. The Red Dot Design award is the latest accolade for the TGX Lion S. Since its release in 2020, the truck has picked up an IF Design award, German Design award, and was named International Truck of the Year.
Winning Designs
The Red Dot Design jury of 48 international experts chose the Lion S models from a pool of product submissions from approximately 60 countries for their interior and exterior style. Design elements of the vehicles that won over the jury were their carbon bumpers and mirrors and the red accents on the piano black radiator area, as well as the decorative red stitching on their leather steering wheels, red seat belts, and Alcantara leather seats with red diamond stitching. Further accents that carry the design theme included door inserts and armrests that the seats and red lion embroidery on the headrests.

The Red Dot Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world, bringing in around 20,000 submissions each year. The awards have been handed out since 1955 and are divided into three disciplines, product design, brands and communication design, and design concept. Today it is considered a mark of excellence that is highly respected around the world.
About The MAN TGX Individual Lion S
On the outside, high-gloss elements, chrome louvres, black wheel trim, and red detailing on the radiator grille set the truck apart. Inside the spacious cab, drivers get chrome trim, a leather-look interior, premium seats with red detailing, a multifunction leather steering wheel, and more. It comes in a range of high-output engines from 510 to 640 horsepower (380 to 477 kilowatts).
About The MAN TGE Individual Lion S
The light delivery van has stainless-steel trim on the vehicle front, carbon-look bumper trim, red detailing on the radiator grille and vehicle sides, and mirror caps in carbon design bearing the MAN lion. Inside, leather seats and a leather multifunction steering wheel provide a comfortable ride, while red LED light strips and footwell lighting serve both style and purpose.
