China-Based Zoomlion Concrete Machinery Orders 520 Scania Trucks So Far In 2019

    Zoomlion Concrete Machinery, based in Changsha City in China’s Hunan Province, recently ordered 170 Scania P 450 trucks, following an order of 350 vehicles earlier in 2019. The newest order consists of 150 8x4 models and 20 10x4 models that will be used with 56-metre and 62- to 67-metre truck-mounted pumps, respectively. Zoomlion has purchased 3,300 trucks from Scania since they began their relationship in 2007, and 2012 was the biggest year with 1,350 total vehicles delivered.


    Zoomlion Concrete Machinery is part of Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co, which also specializes in mobile cranes, forklifts, agriculture equipment, and other construction equipment. “We have a long-standing collaboration with Zoomlion, the world-leading manufacturer of concrete machinery, dating back more than 10 years,” says Alexander Vlaskamp, head of trucks at Scania. “It is certainly gratifying that our products are meeting the high standards demanded by Zoomlion.”

    Scania Concrete Pump Trucks

    Scania makes it easy to configure its G-series, P-series, and XT-series models as concrete pump trucks by offering chassis with pre-drilled mounting holes, the Scania Bodywork Communication Interface for seamless integration, and power take-off. These trucks are available with V8 engines ranging from 9 to 16 litres of displacement and can take advantage of the Scania Opticruise transmission, which is well-suited for operating in urban environments thanks to its automatic clutch.
