Volvo Trucks recently donated £70,000 to NHS Charities Together, or £1,000 for each FH Unlimited Edition vehicle sold in the UK over the past six months. At an event outside Volvo Trucks’ Warwick headquarters, Managing Director Christian Coolsaet gave the donation cheque to Justine Davy, the head of fundraising for NHS Charities Together.
“We had a project group working on our FH Unlimited Edition launch, at the exact time when the country was standing on their doorsteps clapping for the NHS each week,” says Coolsaet. “Suddenly the idea of involving them in our plans came together; it’s been incredibly well-received by our colleagues, customers, and dealers alike, and we’re delighted to have helped to raise £70,000 to support an amazing collective of NHS charities.”
The FH Unlimited Up Close
The FH Unlimited Edition is available as an FH 500 with I-Save, an FH 500 with I-Shift Dual Clutch transmission, or an FH 540 with I-Shift. The trucks feature Globetrotter XL cabs with Conger Black paint colours and special Unlimited Edition graphics as an option. The interior features a black leather steering wheel and upholstery, black seats and door panels, an adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch touchscreen display, a refrigerator under the bunk, a microwave, and space for a television.
The high-specification truck also benefits from several packages, including the Long Haul Fuel Package+ and the Visibility Plus package, which adds Bi-Xenon headlights with washer jets, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, fog lights, and cornering lights. The truck also comes with such standard safety features as lane keeping assist and lane changing support, collision warning with advanced emergency braking, and Volvo Dynamic Steering.
