The performance of 11 Econics ordered in January 2020 has prompted a subsequent order of 14 more; Dacorum Transport Manager Simon Smith says the trucks from the initial order “have not missed a beat.”

Designed for maximum flexibility, the new trailer will be able to carry two 6.1-metre containers, and its rear sliding bogie can even be split out as a separate trailer if needed.
The new 6x4 Mercedes-Benz trucks are both powered by 15.6-litre, 425-kilowatt, straight-six engines and are outfitted with the range-topping GigaSpace cab.

The DAF CF has a PACCAR MX-13 engine and is fitted with Hiab crane and a specialist body designed by Forshaw Engineering; NWTT says the eight-wheeler can match its 6x2 rigids in manoeuvrability.
The LF Electric provides 260 kilowatts of nominal power (370 kW peak) and has a range of up to 280 zero-emission kilometres with a payload of 9100 kilograms.
